The Chimpanzee Sanctuary and Wildlife Conservation Trust (Chimpanzee Trust), founded in 1998, manages Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary and leads field conservation in Uganda. In partnership with TotalEnergies and Uganda Biodiversity Trust Fund, it implements community-based conservation, habitat restoration and livelihood programmes to protect chimpanzees and forest corridors in the Albertine Rift.
