The Clinton Health Access Initiative, Inc. (CHAI) is a global health organization committed to saving lives and reducing the burden of disease in low- and middle-income countries. Founded in 2002 in response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic, CHAI works at the invitation of governments to support them and the private sector to create and sustain high-quality health systems. Today CHAI works across more than 35 countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America with over 20 programs spanning HIV/AIDS, malaria, tuberculosis, hepatitis, maternal and newborn health, sexual and reproductive health, cancer, vaccines, nutrition, health financing, and health systems strengthening. 85% of staff are based in program countries.
