East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) Ltd is the company responsible for constructing and operating the 1,443km buried, insulated and electrically trace-heated crude oil export pipeline that will transport Uganda's Lake Albert crude oil from Kabaale in Hoima, Uganda to the Chongoleani Peninsula near Tanga Port in Tanzania for export to world markets (peak capacity 246,000 bbl/day). Shareholders are TotalEnergies (62%), Uganda National Oil Company (UNOC) (15%), Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC) (15%) and CNOOC Uganda (8%). The project includes six pumping stations, two pressure reduction stations, 76 mainline block valves and a marine export terminal. EACOP is headquartered at RR Pearl Tower One, Plot 1 Yusuf Lule Road, Kampala, Uganda, with offices in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and London, UK.
