Tropical Bank is a commercial bank in Uganda licensed and supervised by the Bank of Uganda. Established in 1973 as the Arab Libyan Bank for Foreign Trade & Development and rebranded in 2006, it is headquartered at 27 Kampala Road, Kampala. The bank provides loans, checking, savings, debit cards, investments and mortgages through branches in Central, Western and Eastern Uganda. It is majority owned by the Libyan Foreign Bank (99.91%) with a minority stake held by the Government of Uganda.
