Dreyz Interior is hiring a proactive and detail-oriented Accountant to take ownership of the company's accounting function and provide management with accurate and timely financial information. The role is based at Palm Tree Close Opposite Total Kyaliwajjala and involves managing day-to-day accounting, project budgets and compliance. Full Time position. Deadline: 23rd August 2026.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting transactions and financial records.
• Prepare invoices, receipts, payment vouchers and financial reports.
• Reconcile bank, cash and supplier accounts.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare and monitor project budgets, costs and cash flow.
• Track project expenditures against approved BOQs and budgets.
• Support preparation and filing of VAT, PAYE and other statutory returns.
• Maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and cash-flow reports.
• Assist management with financial planning and decision-making.
• Work closely with the project and procurement teams to monitor project costs.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company financial procedures.

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• At least 2-3 years relevant accounting experience, preferably in a project-based business.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with URA, VAT, PAYE and other statutory requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Good analytical, organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Professional accounting qualification such as CPA (U) or ACCA is an added advantage.
