The Uganda Heart Institute (UHI) is established by the Uganda Heart Institute Act CAP 258 as an Autonomous Government Entity to undertake and coordinate the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease in Uganda. UHI offers a comprehensive range of preventive, promotive, and clinical cardiovascular services and conducts cutting-edge research and training in cardiovascular science. Our vision is to be a global centre of excellence in cardiovascular services. UHI is expanding its human resource capacity to support the effective delivery of specialised cardiovascular services.

- Duty Station: Kampala
- Work Hours: 8 hours per day

Job Purpose
To support maintenance of a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, clients, property, and hospital assets by implementing security procedures, monitoring access and activities, responding to security incidents, and reporting security concerns in accordance with institutional policies and procedures.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the Head of Security in management of the security at the Institute.
- Be in charge of the day-to-day running of security matters in the Hospital.
- Participate in planning, monitoring and evaluation of security matters in the Unit.
- Ensure safety of Hospital properties, vehicles and estates.
- Prepare security reports.
- Manage and account for allocated resources.
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements
- A Diploma in any field from a recognised institution.
- Must have had police training or training in security discipline from a recognised institution.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a reputable organisation as security personnel.
