About the Role

Deloitte (Uganda) Limited currently has exciting opportunities for dynamic individuals to join our Assurance team as Assurance Assistants. These positions are based in our Kampala office in Uganda on a fixed term (contract) basis. The role provides an opportunity to work with diverse teams of people and clients, experiencing the rich, collaborative culture of our professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn and apply Deloitte standards, procedures, and methodologies on assignments
  • Ensure assigned work is completed within agreed time frames, per approved methodologies and standards, and within agreed budgets
  • Ensure availability of accurate and timely data on assigned tasks, using available knowledge sources optimally
  • Keep abreast of technical developments in the profession and the country
  • Develop productive working relationships with client staff
  • Manage information security risk in line with Deloitte policies
  • Maintain own development and knowledge in specialized areas

Qualifications

  • At least a second-class upper bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field from a recognized university
  • A minimum of 16 points at A level or equivalent
  • A first Grade in 'O' Level (with at least credit 3 in English and Mathematics) or equivalent
  • Attainment or pursuance of a relevant professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) is an added advantage
  • Proficiency in computer applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Willingness to travel (within Uganda)
  • Be a Ugandan citizen
