Uganda Heart Institute (UHI) is established by the Uganda Heart Institute Act CAP 258 as an Autonomous Government Entity to undertake and coordinate the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease in Uganda. Our vision is to be a global center of excellence in cardiovascular services. We offer a comprehensive range of preventive, promotive, and clinical cardiovascular services as well as conduct cutting-edge research and training in cardiovascular science.
Job Details
Uganda Heart Institute (UHI) intends to recruit competent people in various departments, to enhance its human resource capacity and support the effective delivery of specialised cardiovascular services. Applications are therefore invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill the under-listed position.
Post: Biomedical Technician Salary Scale: UHI 5SC Number of posts: One (1) Reports to: Senior Biomedical Technician Work Hours: 8
Duties and Responsibilities
i. Carry out inventory of Medical Equipment. ii. Carry out preventive maintenance. iii. Repair of medical equipment iv. Plan and budget for repairs v. Carry out end user training vi. Carry out routine service of biomedical equipment
Person/Job Specifications
i. A diploma in Biomedical Technology from a recognized Institution
