Our client is a leading player in Uganda's automotive and mobility sector, with a strong presence in the motorcycle market. The organization specializes in the distribution and retail of motorcycles, genuine spare parts, after-sales services, and local motorcycle assembly, supported by a growing branch and distribution network across Uganda.
The Brand Manager will be responsible for building, protecting, and growing the company's brands through consistent market positioning and effective marketing execution. The role will lead brand strategy, marketing planning, campaigns, product launches, and brand performance while ensuring consistency across all customer touchpoints. This is a full-time position based in Kampala, Uganda. Work hours: 8 hours per day. Salary: Not Disclosed.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop brand strategies and annual and quarterly marketing plans aligned with overall business objectives
- Lead marketing projects from planning through execution, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables are achieved
- Manage product launches and promotional campaigns to drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and sales
- Monitor market trends, customer insights, and competitor activity to identify opportunities and inform brand strategy
- Oversee brand budgets and monitor marketing performance and return on investment
- Work with agencies, media, and internal teams to maintain consistent brand positioning and execution
- Ensure brand guidelines and messaging are consistently applied across branches, campaigns, and customer touchpoints
- Evaluate campaign performance and use insights to continuously improve marketing effectiveness
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 5–8 years of experience in brand / marketing management, preferably within a consumer-facing sector
- Strong experience in brand strategy, market research, campaign management, budgeting, and stakeholder management
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and coordinate multiple stakeholders from planning through execution
- Strong understanding of consumer marketing, brand positioning, and market development
- Strong analytical, communication, and project-management skills
- Minimum experience: 5 years
