Job Details
Sinopec is seeking a Calibration Coordinator to manage and coordinate the calibration of all measurement and test equipment used by the Sinopec construction and inspection teams during the construction period on the Tilenga project in Uganda. The role is full-time, based on the Tilenga Project site (Uganda). Employment is coordinated via Q-Sourcing (QSSU-SINOPEC-CC-CALIBRATION COORDINATOR). The coordinator ensures equipment is calibrated per project standards and ISO 17025 and regulatory requirements and maintains accurate calibration records and inventory.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a calibration schedule for all measurement and test equipment
- Notify equipment owners, relevant departments and management every Friday of status of equipment to expire within one month
- Interface externally with qualified calibration laboratories and internally with equipment owners, logistics and warehouse to conduct planned calibration and distribution
- Ensure all equipment are calibrated following project standards and regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate records of calibration results, certificates and due dates
- Support calibration contract negotiation and signing, responsible for calibration inquiry with external laboratories and for calibration work confirmation and payment application
- Maintain an inventory of calibration equipment
- Coordinate repair, replacement and recalibration of faulty or outdated equipment
- Ensure all calibration activities comply with ISO 17025 or other relevant standards and conduct regular checks on calibration records
- Generate and share calibration reports and issues with different departments
- Ensure all calibration activities and records comply with regulatory requirements
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in calibration, quality assurance or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Efficient interpersonal communication and coordination capabilities
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting, hands-on experience with MS Office and MS Excel
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Data organization skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
