Hope Medical and Diagnostic Centre is seeking a Clinical Officer to join its dedicated healthcare team in Magamaga, Mayuge District. The role provides comprehensive clinical care including patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, referral and follow-up while ensuring high standards of patient safety and professional practice. Duty Station: Magamaga, Mayuge District. Employment Type: Full Time. Work Hours: 8 hours.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct patient consultations, examinations, and clinical assessments.
• Diagnose and manage common medical conditions.
• Request and interpret appropriate laboratory and diagnostic investigations.
• Develop and implement treatment plans.
• Provide health education and counselling to patients and families.
• Identify emergency and complex cases and arrange appropriate referrals.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
• Work closely with nurses, laboratory staff, sonographers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in health promotion, infection prevention, and quality-improvement activities.
• Adhere to professional, ethical, and clinical guidelines.

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Clinical Medicine from a recognized institution.
• At least 2 years of relevant clinical experience.
• Must be registered with the relevant professional council and hold a valid practising licence.
• Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, professional, and patient-focused approach.
