Key Duties and Responsibilities

Food Preparation

• Prepare and cook meals according to approved recipes and quality standards.
• Ensure food is presented attractively and served on time.
• Monitor food quality, freshness, and portion control.
• Assist with menu preparation and daily kitchen operations.

Kitchen Operations

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas.
• Store food items safely and monitor stock levels.
• Minimize food wastage and report inventory shortages.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.

Teamwork

• Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Support colleagues during busy service periods.
• Perform any other kitchen-related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements

• Certificate or Diploma in Food Production, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
• Previous experience as a cook in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality establishment is an added advantage (minimum 12 months preferred).
• Food preparation and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene.
• Time management skills.
• Teamwork and attention to detail.
