Cycle Connect is offering a Credit Intern position based in Uganda. The intern will learn Cycle Connect's credit processes, professional standards and ethical practices while supporting Credit Officers throughout the loan cycle, serving walk-in clients and prospects, and contributing to general office operations. This is a full-time, office-based learning opportunity ideal for recent diploma graduates seeking practical experience in microfinance and agricultural lending in Northern Uganda.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Learn Cycle Connect's loan processes and procedures and develop knowledge of standard credit business practices.
- Maintain ethical and professional conduct in all work and client interactions.
- Provide support to Cycle Connect Credit Officers throughout the loan cycle.
- Serve as a contact person for walk-in clients and prospective customers at the office.
- Receive and support office visitors with the information they require.
- Escalate client information and issues to the appropriate persons or offices.
- Conduct surveys, data collection, data entry and necessary report writing.
- Support general office and administrative duties.
- Undertake other duties that may arise.
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements
- Minimum qualification of a Diploma in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agribusiness, Microfinance, Business Administration, Social Work and Social Administration, or another related course from a recognised university or college.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong computer skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills.
- Fluency in English and Luo, including Acholi or Langi.
- Ability and/or willingness to ride a motorcycle.
