Kijumo Community Health Link is seeking to recruit qualified individuals to join their team. The Enrolled Midwife will support community health services and provide quality midwifery care to mothers and newborns in the Bushenyi municipality.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide antenatal, labour/delivery, postpartum and newborn care in accordance with professional midwifery standards and Ministry of Health guidelines.
  • Conduct normal deliveries, identify obstetric emergencies and provide first-line emergency obstetric and neonatal care with timely referral where needed.
  • Offer family planning counselling and services, immunization and health education to mothers, families and the community.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records, maternity registers, partographs and routine reports for facility and community health programs.
  • Participate in community outreach, health promotion, and follow-up of mothers and newborns within the catchment area.
  • Ensure infection prevention and control, patient safety and adherence to clinical protocols.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team and community health workers to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements

  • Certificate / Associate Degree / Diploma in Midwifery (Enrolled Midwifery) from a recognized institution; must be registered with the relevant professional council.

  • Experience: Fresh graduates up to two years of experience only should apply - Experience in Months: 12 indicated.
  • Must speak & understand Runyankole (mandatory).
