Job Details

Bunyoro Kitara Diocese, a faith-based institution under the Church of Uganda, seeks to recruit highly competent Christians to work in the Health Department as Enrolled Nurses. The Diocese is recruiting 6 positions for deployment to rural and remote health facilities supported under the OneDay Health (BKD) programme.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide enrolled nursing care and support clinical services within Bunyoro Kitara Diocese Health Department facilities under OneDay Health supervision.
  • Deliver primary nursing services to patients in rural and remote health centres as deployed.
  • Perform standard enrolled nursing duties as assigned by the Health Department leadership in line with Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council scope of practice.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, uphold infection prevention, and ensure compassionate, Christ-centred care.

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements

  • Must have an Enrolled Nursing Certificate from a recognized Institution.
  • Must be registered and licensed with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council.

  • Willing to work in rural remote areas.
  • Must be a committed Christian with evidence of Christian foundation.
  • Professional certificate level qualification required.
  • Strong clinical, interpersonal and service-oriented skills suitable for faith-based health service.
