Enrolled Nurses

Job Details

Enrolled Nurses provide basic nursing care at Holy Innocents Children's Hospital in Mbarara City, Uganda. This is a full-time position based in Mbarara City. Working hours are 8 hours per day. Salary is not disclosed.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care, including monitoring vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, and ensuring patient comfort.
• Administer prescribed medications under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Observe and report changes in patients' conditions to the Registered Nurse or Medical Officer.
• Educate patients and families on basic health practices and care plans.
• Maintain accurate nursing records, including observations and interventions provided.
• Adhere strictly to infection prevention and control protocols.
• Assist in wound dressing and basic nursing procedures.
• Assist patients with mobility, hygiene, and feeding needs.
• Assist in emergency situations as part of the nursing team.
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure integrated patient care.

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements

• Diploma in Nursing (Enrolled Nursing) or Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience.
• Knowledge of basic nursing care, medication administration under supervision, and patient observation.
• Skills in infection prevention, wound care, and patient support.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and work collaboratively in a team.
