Joint Medical Store (JMS) — a Church-founded Private Not-for-Profit organization whose mission is to "Provide value-adding health solutions to accredited health units and other stakeholders" — is hiring Field Officers / Embedded Supply Chain Officers under the AFGHS-JMS project awarded by the United States Department of State.

Project Goal: Support continuity of lifesaving essential medicines, medical equipment and outbreak response within private-not-for-profit (PNFP) health facilities while accelerating the shift to an accountable, interoperable and government-aligned supply chain, including JMS Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tool stabilization and Global Standards-1 (GS1) readiness.

Project Objectives:

  • Procure, assure quality, warehouse commodities and equipment efficiently
  • Stabilize ERP; strengthen data use, and deliver priority interoperability, GS1 traceability and cyber resilience
  • Build an outbreak-ready supply chain with clear triggers, buffer stock, surge distribution and simulation
  • Strengthen PNFP workforce, governance, financing and country-led supply chain ownership

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day, facility-level technical assistance to strengthen commodity management and reporting practices
  • Support continuity of essential medicines, medical equipment and outbreak response commodities at PNFP facilities in line with AFGHS-JMS objectives
  • Strengthen facility-level supply chain data use, reporting and accountability aligned to the stabilized ERP and GS1 traceability requirements
  • Support warehousing, distribution and quality assurance efficiencies at the facility level

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Nursing, Supply Chain Management, or Public Health
  • Minimum 3–5 years of facility-level implementation experience (minimum 3 years required)
  • Experience in health commodity management and reporting practices at health facility level
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical supply chain, warehousing and distribution systems is an added advantage
  • Strong technical assistance, mentorship and data-use skills
  • Ability to work embedded within health facilities and collaborate with PNFP governance structures
