Job Details

FINCA Uganda is seeking dynamic Financial Inclusion Officers to promote growth of clients and the portfolio under the group methodology. The Financial Inclusion Officer (FIO) is responsible for mobilization of new potential customers to grow the group lending portfolio and provide financial literacy trainings to group customers as part of preparation for FINCA credit group loan products. The role reports to the Branch Manager with a dotted line to the Product Associate and is field-based across allocated catchment locations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Together with the Branch Manager, draw up monthly plans in identified catchment locations where sales and marketing activities such as community sales drives, focus group discussions, marketing drives and door-to-door have been conducted.
Together with the Branch Manager, draw up monthly 3 pack training sessions for each of the identified groups of potential customers for the group lending product to achieve monthly required targets.
Conduct financial literacy training of identified groups.
Train clients about the FINCA Uganda Self-Managed Group Product methodology.
Guide groups in selection of their leaders and group governance principles.
Emphasize group formation, cohesion/solidarity and record keeping during trainings.
Evaluate readiness of group members to take up FINCA financial services.
Implement schedule of action work plans agreed at beginning of each month and provide weekly feedback to the Branch Manager with a dotted line to the Product Associate.

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements

Diploma in Business, Marketing, Education or any other related field.
Fluency in both English and local language in area of operation.
Experience: 12 months (1 year) experience required.
Teachers and Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Ability to ride a motorcycle.
Excellent Sales and Marketing Skills.

Good Problem-Solving skills.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
