Java House is seeking a General Accountant to support finance operations across all branches and the head office in Kampala.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate the end-month stock take process, variance analysis and stock adjustment posting
• Timely and accurately post supplier invoices for all branches and head office
• Confirm that all expenses are accurately posted and reflected in the P&L
• Ensure B2B invoices reflect on the URA platform accurately
• Accurately post opex invoices such as utilities, internet, insurance and audit
• Perform monthly supplier ledger reconciliations
• Post payments and receipts, and perform bank reconciliations
• Ensure receivables accounts are allocated, accurately reconciled, and statements shared in a timely manner
• Carry out any other duties assigned by the line supervisor

Qualifications

• BCOM (Accounting), Finance, or BBA
• Minimum of CPA III is an added advantage
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong background in ERP, EFRIS and MIS reporting
• Attention to detail
• High integrity and a trustworthy person able to handle confidential data
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as an accountant in a manufacturing environment
