The Institute is looking for a dedicated Midwifery Instructor to provide practical and theoretical training to students and help them develop the knowledge, skills, and professional attitudes required for safe and effective midwifery practice.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver theoretical and practical midwifery instruction.
  • Prepare lesson plans, practical sessions, demonstrations, and teaching materials.
  • Guide students in developing essential midwifery and clinical skills.
  • Supervise students during practical and clinical training.
  • Assess students through assignments, practical examinations, and other approved methods.
  • Provide feedback and mentorship to students to support their academic and professional development.
  • Ensure teaching activities comply with institutional and professional standards.
  • Maintain accurate student records and submit academic reports as required.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum activities, and other institutional programmes.
  • Promote patient safety, professional ethics, confidentiality, and good clinical practice.

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Midwifery from a recognized institution.
  • Valid professional registration and practising licence where applicable.
  • Good knowledge of midwifery procedures, maternal health, and newborn care.
  • Strong communication and teaching skills.
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Previous clinical or teaching experience is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 12 months of experience.
