Sanlam Allianz Investments Ltd (SAIL), a leading fund manager in the region, seeks an Investments Intern to join its Investment Team in Uganda on a short-term basis. Reporting to: General Manager, Uganda. Employment Type: Internship. Location: Uganda. The ideal candidate has analytical and problem-solving skills with keen interest in pursuing a career in investments.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Support investment research for both fixed income and equities asset classes
• Support the management of daily cash positions including preparations for the weekly cash meetings
• Assist in preparation of client reports and engaging presentations regularly
• Support in developing financial models to support investment decisions
• Adhere to Company policies including internal and external policies, risk, compliance and regulatory standards
• Any other responsibilities as documented in performance objectives and as may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or related degree
• Progress towards CFA
• At least 0.5-2 years' experience or internship in a similar role in the financial sector
• Report writing, presentation, communication and analytical skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Integrity, professionalism, and willingness to learn
• Interest in investments, asset management, or wealth management is an added advantage
