Position: Laboratory Attendant, Department of Chemistry
Reporting To: Technician
Job Purpose: To carry out routine laboratory tasks and cleaning
Duty Station: Kampala | Kampala (Makerere University, Department of Chemistry)
Location: Kampala
Employment Type: Contract (4-year contract)
Remuneration: PU15 (Makerere University Salary Scale)
Age Limit: Applicants should not exceed fifty five (55) years of age at the time of application

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness of equipment and accessories in the laboratory;
Maintain cleanliness of the laboratory;
Assist the Laboratory Technician in undertaking equipment maintenance and minor repairs;
Any other related duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements

Ordinary Level Certificate of Education (UCE) from a recognized institution;
Ability to maintain laboratory hygiene and handle laboratory equipment and accessories safely;
Willingness to assist with equipment maintenance and minor repairs under supervision;
Good interpersonal skills and ability to follow instructions from the Supervisor/Technician.
