Job Details

Sino Minerals Investments Co. Ltd is hiring 02 Laboratory Technicians to support routine mineral testing and laboratory operations. The role is based in Uganda and reports to the Laboratory Supervisor. This is a Full Time position requiring accurate laboratory analysis, equipment maintenance, and strict adherence to quality control, health, safety and environmental procedures. The position involves hands-on work with mineral samples, reagents and laboratory instruments in a mining / geology environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Conduct routine tests and analyses on mineral samples
Operate, maintain, and clean laboratory equipment and instruments
Prepare reagents/solutions per approved procedures and support chemical/physical analysis
Record and maintain accurate laboratory results
Follow quality control, health, safety, and environmental procedures
Report equipment faults, unusual results, and safety incidents to the supervisor
Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of lab materials and waste

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Laboratory Technology, Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or a related field
Relevant laboratory experience, preferably in mining, geology
Good knowledge of laboratory procedures, sample handling, and safety requirements
Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines
Computer literacy and good record-keeping skills will be an added advantage
