Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Teach, examine and grade students
  • Supervise research for students
  • Mentor junior staff
  • Conduct research and community outreach activities
  • Write proposals for attracting funding to the department
  • Perform any other official duties as assigned by the Head of Department

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements

  • PhD in Medical Social Work or Medical Anthropology
  • Master's Degree in Social Work and Social Administration
  • An honors Bachelor of Arts in any of the humanities or social sciences
  • Level of Education: Postgraduate degree

APPLICANTS SHOULD NOT EXCEED FIFTY FIVE (55) YEARS OF AGE AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION. Applicants for all other positions should not exceed 55 years. Applicants for Assistant Lecturer should not exceed 40 years and should have a CGPA of 4.0 and above, except for applicants in the Departments of Psychiatry who should have a CGPA of 3.60 and above.
