Marketing & Content Officer

Nyaka Microfinance (NMF) is seeking an entry-level, field-based Marketing & Content Officer on a full-time contract to be based in Kanungu District. The officer will lead community outreach, financial literacy, local media engagement, digital marketing and content storytelling, and support the promotion of Nyaka's schools and other strategic programmes.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead community outreach and business development to grow NMF visibility and customer reach.
• Conduct financial literacy sessions in communities.
• Engage local media and manage digital marketing and content storytelling.
• Create content using Canva, CapCut or similar tools for social media and outreach.
• Support promotion of Nyaka schools and other strategic programmes.
• Manage multiple activities in a field-based setting and build community relationships.

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Public Relations or a related field.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, community outreach or a related field; experience in microfinance, financial services or NGO/development work is an advantage.
• Fluency in Runyankole/Rukiga and English.
• Valid motorcycle riding licence.
• Digital skills including social media and content creation.
• Strong organisation and ability to manage multiple activities.
• Community engagement and relationship-building skills.
• Interest in financial inclusion and rural community development.
• Canva/CapCut or other content creation skills are an added advantage.
• Portfolio of previous content work is required.
