Full-time Medical Doctor position at the Main Campus - Allan Galpin Health Center in Mukono, Uganda. The role provides continuous 24-hour coverage, clinical care to students, staff and visitors, and supports community health awareness within the University community.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Participate in continuous 24-hour coverage in the unit and effectively hand over to the incoming shifts.
To take history, examine and request for the necessary investigations.
To diagnose disease state and prescribe treatment.
To review and evaluate patients undergoing treatment.
To participate in Health Awareness Activities of the Community.
To guide students that may come to the Health Facility to learn.
To supervise the Allied health workers.
To participate in continuing medical education activities.
To refer patients according to set guidelines.
To promote proper public health practices in the University community.
To write regular reports on Clinic performance.
To conduct specialized clinics for example hypertension, diabetes etc.
Develop and provide a monthly software project status report describing the development of the above activities and any issues that may emerge, with conclusions and recommendations.
To carry out any duties as may be assigned by the Director Medical Services.

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements

A Master's degree in Public Health, Health Services Management or any relevant health related field.
A Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from a recognized institution of higher learning.
Must have a valid practicing license from the medical council.
At least four (4) years' work experience at a reputable hospital.
Must have good interpersonal skills especially when dealing with students, staff and visitors.
Mature and practicing Christian.
Level of Education: Bachelor degree minimum, Master's degree required as above.
