NovaCare Medical Hub is hiring a Medical Officer to provide high-quality clinical care at its hub in Plot 2A, 2nd Hospital Close, TASO Village, Mbarara City, Mbarara. This is a Full-time position (Work Hours: 8) within the Health Care industry. The officer will deliver sound clinical services across emergency care and general practice, working in an integrated ecosystem where consultations are supported by on-site laboratory and imaging services, with transparent costing and mobile payments (MTN Mobile Money / Airtel Money).

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide sound clinical care across emergency and general outpatient services.
- Deliver diagnostic-led practice integrated with laboratory and imaging services for accurate, timely patient management.
- Conduct patient consultations, clinical assessments, diagnosis and treatment planning within NovaCare's connected care system.
- Ensure clear patient communication by translating laboratory and imaging results into simple, everyday language.
- Contribute to preventive care initiatives, routine health checkups and community wellness programs for early detection of hypertension, diabetes and other chronic conditions.
- Maintain accurate clinical records in the secure, organized patient tracking system and ensure continuity of care.
- Uphold professional, respectful and high-quality medical standards inline with NovaCare's mission.
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements
- MBChB from a recognized university.
- Valid registration/license with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council (UMDPC).
- Sound clinical skills across emergency care.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience (36 months).
- Prior exposure to diagnostic-led practice (lab/imaging-integrated care) is an added advantage.
- Commitment to preventive, patient-centered and community-oriented care.
- Level of Education: Postgraduate degree (MBChB) as per advert.
