Utatu Medicals And Maternity Centre is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Officer to join their healthcare team in Adjumani Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in Internal Medicine and Paediatrics and be committed to delivering safe, effective, and patient-centered medical care.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct patient consultations, assessments, diagnosis, and treatment
- Provide comprehensive medical care to patients across different age groups
- Manage common medical conditions with particular attention to internal medicine and paediatric cases
- Take accurate medical histories and perform appropriate physical examinations
- Request and interpret relevant laboratory and diagnostic investigations
- Develop appropriate treatment and management plans for patients
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment as necessary
- Identify and appropriately manage or refer emergency and complex cases
- Provide health education and counselling to patients and their families
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date patient records
- Work closely with nurses, specialists, laboratory staff, and other healthcare professionals
- Participate in ward rounds, clinical meetings, and other healthcare activities
- Adhere to professional, ethical, infection prevention, and patient-safety standards
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBChB/MBBS) or equivalent from a recognized institution
- Valid registration and practicing license with the relevant professional council in Uganda
- Fresh graduates with a strong interest or bias in Internal Medicine and Paediatrics are encouraged to apply
- Good clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, professional, and patient-centered approach
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Willingness to work in Adjumani Town
