Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide professional midwifery care to expectant and new mothers.
• Monitor mothers and babies throughout pregnancy, labour, delivery and the postnatal period.
• Conduct antenatal and postnatal assessments and provide appropriate care.
• Assist with safe delivery and provide immediate care to mothers and newborns.
• Identify and appropriately manage or refer maternal and neonatal complications.
• Provide health education and counselling on maternal and newborn health.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
• Promote infection prevention, hygiene and patient safety.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
• Provide compassionate, respectful and patient-centred services.

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements

• Qualification: Diploma in Midwifery (1 position) OR Certificate in Midwifery (1 position)
• Relevant professional registration and a valid practising licence will be required where applicable.
• Minimum experience: 12 months (1 year) in midwifery / maternal health
• Knowledge of antenatal, intrapartum, delivery and postnatal care, including identification and referral of complications.
• Skills in newborn care, health education and counselling, record-keeping and infection prevention.
• Compassionate, respectful, patient-centred attitude and ability to work in a team.
• Commitment to the clinic motto "Your health is our focus."
