Joint Medical Store (JMS) is a Church-founded Private Not-for-Profit organization established in 1979 by the Uganda Catholic Medical Bureau (UCMB) and the Uganda Protestant Medical Bureau (UPMB) under the Trustees Incorporation Act. Licensed by the National Drug Authority (NDA), JMS imports, warehouses, exports and distributes quality-assured medicines and healthcare supplies to over 3,000 health facilities across Uganda, with head office at Plot 1828 Gogonya Road, Kampala and branches/distribution outlets in Mbarara, Fort Portal, Arua, Gulu, Masaka and Jinja. For this role, JMS has been awarded the AFGHS-JMS project by the United States Department of State to support continuity of lifesaving essential medicines, medical equipment and outbreak response within Private-Not-For-Profit health facilities while accelerating the shift to an accountable, interoperable and government-aligned supply chain. The project includes JMS Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tool stabilization and Global Standards-1 (GS1) readiness, efficient procurement/warehousing, cyber resilience and interoperability, outbreak-ready supply chain with buffer stock and surge distribution, and PNFP workforce and governance strengthening — making reliable and secure ICT network infrastructure critical to project success. Key Duties and Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain ICT network infrastructure to support reliable and secure project operations.
Ensure network reliability, security and availability in support of ERP stabilization, data use, interoperability, GS1 traceability and cyber resilience objectives under AFGHS-JMS.

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements

Education: Degree in Networking, Computer Science, or a related field (Level of Education: Bachelor Degree)
Certifications: Relevant networking certifications preferred (e.g., CCNA or equivalent)
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in network administration and cybersecurity
Experience in Months: 12 (as listed) - substantive requirement is 5 years
