Process Operator

Job Details

The Key Purpose of this role is to operate, maintain, repair, and optimize plant and associated devices to ensure plant availability and product quality at MBARARA BREW, Uganda. The Process Operator will work in shifts and apply VPO principles and standards within the AB InBev framework.

Duty Station: MBARARA BREW, Uganda Employment Type: Full time Band: X Work Hours: 8

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate machines and equipment
• Optimise production performance and process
• Maintain, repair, and optimise plant and associated devices
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and risk-free working environment
• Work in teams
• React to the results using the VPO tools supplied
• Actively participate in shift meetings, asking questions to test understanding and contributing suggestions
• Make effective use of the OWS to record issues, problems, and improvement opportunities
• Fully understand the team's Dream and contribute to achieving it
• Complete required handover to incoming shift team members, ensuring issues relating to plant performance, quality and maintenance are communicated

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements

• Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related course
• Experience in Packaging/Brewing/Utilities/FMCG environment will be of advantage
• Proficiency in Computer use (Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
• SKAP knowledge is an added advantage
• Able to manage a process area according to VPO principles and standards
• Prepared to work in shifts; logical, analytical problem solver who can operate in a structured environment
• A team player (prepared to communicate, listen, coach and develop self and others)
• Achievement Drive, management skills, people handling ability, mental alertness, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Willing to work longer hours when work demands it
