Advocate for Community Development and Environmental Protection (ACODEP) is recruiting for an upcoming multi-sectoral initiative focused on women’s participation in environmental peacebuilding, climate action, GBV/SGBV prevention, human rights protection, and environmental justice.
The Programme Manager will lead the planning, coordination, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of ACODEP programmes, particularly initiatives related to environmental peacebuilding, climate action, women's participation, human rights, and community development. This is a 1 Position | 2-Year Renewable Contract based in Kampala (Kampala). Work Hours: 8 hours. Salary: Not Disclosed.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and coordinate programme implementation plans.
- Ensure programmes are delivered on time and within approved budgets.
- Coordinate programme teams, partners, and field activities.
- Monitor programme outputs, outcomes, and performance indicators.
- Support programme budgeting and resource allocation.
- Prepare donor and management reports.
- Coordinate monitoring, evaluation, learning, and documentation activities.
- Identify implementation challenges and develop corrective measures.
- Maintain strong relationships with communities, government, partners, and other stakeholders.
- Support proposal development and resource mobilisation.
- Ensure programmes incorporate gender, inclusion, safeguarding, and human-rights principles.
- Document lessons learned, success stories, and programme impact.
- Represent ACODEP in relevant programme forums and stakeholder meetings.
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Project Management, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
- Relevant programme-management experience.
- Experience managing multi-sectoral development projects.
- Strong planning, reporting, budgeting, and coordination skills.
- Knowledge of gender, climate, human rights, peacebuilding, or community-development programming is an advantage.
- Minimum experience of 12 months.
