QC Wet Chemistry Analyst & In-Process Testing

The QC Wet Chemistry Analyst & In-Process Testing performs fundamental analytical procedures and supports manufacturing with real-time quality control for a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing company. The role is based in Kampala, full-time (8 work hours). Salary not disclosed.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct routine wet chemistry and physical testing, including pH, viscosity, density, loss on drying (LOD), color, odor, and appearance measurements.
• Conduct in-process control testing during manufacturing to ensure batch quality is maintained.
• Utilize automated laboratory equipment, including autotitrators, to perform precise and efficient analyses.
• Interpret and report all test results, tabulate data, and generate reports as required.
• Troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and assist in resolving equipment issues to minimize downtime.

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 12 months experience in QC, wet chemistry or related laboratory analysis.
• Experience with wet chemistry techniques and automated laboratory equipment including autotitrators preferred.
• Ability to interpret results, tabulate data and generate reports.
• Troubleshooting skills for laboratory instrumentation.
