Job Details
Quality Assurance Engineer to work on site for Sinopec in Uganda, recruited through Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec. The role implements and manages Sinopec's quality assurance processes by analyzing project needs, quality risks and improvement areas, and develops, reviews and implements procedures, work instructions, guidelines and forms to ensure products, services and methods meet customer and regulatory requirements. The role covers Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Precommissioning/Commissioning and Final Handover phases, with emphasis on final handover documentation. Full-time, site-based. Application deadline 08:00 AM Friday 21st August 2026.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Contribute to budget preparation and monitor financial performance versus budget when required by management.
- Collect, analyze and report KPIs relevant to quality performance including customer satisfaction, process efficiency and nonconformities and ensure measures are within Quality Plan specifications.
- Conduct periodic monitoring and measurement of the Quality Plan and develop approaches to wide-ranging quality issues consistent with organizational objectives.
- Implement and control quality process activities in accordance with standards, company procedures, customer specifications and governmental regulations.
- Read, analyze and interpret technical procedures and ensure all quality specifications and compliance requirements are met.
- Design systems of recording and analyzing quality control inspection requirements and techniques and interpret product and service quality trends.
- Develop, review, update and implement procedures, work instructions, guidelines and forms to ensure higher quality products/services.
- Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications including ANSI, ASME, ASTM, API, BS Codes, ISO Standards.
- Develop audit plans in line with Project requirements, perform audits as per project management plan and prepare audit and non-conformance reports.
- Guide preparation and implementation of corrective actions and track non-conformance status log.
- Identify improvement areas and weaknesses in systems and procedures and give recommendations to process owners.
- Support customer satisfaction surveys by gathering KPI information and analyzing feedback to tackle non-conformities.
- Prepare and review reports (non-conformity, preventive and corrective action reports, KPIs, customer satisfaction) timely and accurately.
- Provide hands-on support in Final Handover Documentation preparation to ensure smooth handover.
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Internal/Lead Auditor Certification.
- At least 10 years' experience in Quality Management / Project Management in similar industry, preferably oil & gas, petrochemicals.
- Direct related experience on various project phases: Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Precommissioning/Commissioning and Final Handover.
- Hands-on experience in Final Handover Documentation preparation.
- Technical knowledge concerning materials and construction inspection requirements.
- Knowledge in ANSI, ASME, ASTM, API, BS Codes, ISO Standards and other international standards in the oil and gas industry.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System and planning/scheduling tools and software.
- Skilled in data analysis and advanced MS Office skills.
- Strong communication, presentation, analytical, problem-solving, conceptual and strategic thinking, time management and organizational skills.
