About Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA)

Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) is a research and policy nonprofit that discovers and advances what works to improve the lives of people living in poverty. IPA brings together researchers and decision-makers to design, rigorously evaluate, and refine these solutions and their applications, ensuring that the evidence created is used to improve the lives of people living in poverty. Since its founding in 2002, IPA has worked with over 600 leading academics to conduct over 1,000 evaluations in 52 countries. This research has informed hundreds of successful programs that now impact millions of individuals worldwide.

IPA has 15 country offices worldwide. IPA Uganda opened in 2008, has a Right-Fit Evidence unit and partners with the Government of Uganda, civil society and the private sector to generate high-quality evidence and support data-driven decision-making. For this Research Manager role, this means you will be embedded in a mature, well-established Uganda country program with strong government partnerships, established field systems, and a culture of research excellence, rigor and continuous learning.

IPA is committed to safeguarding, ethics and inclusion — selected candidates will be expected to adhere to IPA's Code of Conduct, safeguarding principles and IRB/REC and Uganda National Council for Science and Technology (UNCST) requirements.
