Sample Preparation Workers – 2 Positions (Male)
Job Details
Sino Minerals Investments Co. Ltd is seeking 2 Male Sample Preparation Workers to support laboratory operations. The role is based in Uganda (Company Head Office: Plot 104-106, 5th Street Industrial Area, Kampala) and is offered on a Full-time basis. The successful candidates will be responsible for receiving, preparing and managing mineral samples for laboratory analysis while ensuring accurate identification, preventing contamination, and maintaining health, safety and environmental standards. This position is ideal for certificate holders in Education/Chemistry who are physically fit, detail-oriented and able to follow established laboratory procedures.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive, label, register, and organize samples for laboratory analysis
- Prepare mineral samples per established procedures, including drying, crushing, sieving, weighing, and packaging
- Ensure correct sample identification and prevent contamination or mixup
- Clean and maintain sample preparation equipment and work areas
- Follow lab health, safety, and environmental procedures
- Maintain accurate sample preparation records and assist with sample movement/storage
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements
- Certificate in Education with a Chemistry major
- Ability to handle laboratory and sample preparation equipment
- Physically fit and able to perform routine sample preparation duties
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Willingness to work in a team and comply with health and safety requirements

Sino Minerals Investments Company Limited was incorporated in Uganda in 2010 as a mineral explorations and mining company. Between 2010 and 2016, the company got involved in detailed exploration studies for several minerals in various parts of the country namely: iron ore in different parts of Kabale and Kisoro districts, Gold in Mashonga-Bushenyi, Buhweju, and Wolfram in Nshanjare-Rubanda. For this Sample Preparation Worker role, this background means hands-on exposure to mineral exploration and mining laboratory workflows, sample integrity and safety-critical procedures.
