Secretary (Stenographer) - Audit & Assurance
About the Role
Deloitte (Uganda) Limited currently has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our Audit team as a Secretary. The successful candidate will provide effective and efficient administrative and secretarial support to the Audit business and any other department as may be assigned by the respective manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day secretarial and administrative support to Audit & Assurance Partners, Directors, Managers, and engagement teams
- Maintain an effective filing and document management system for departmental records
- Draft, format, review, and distribute professional correspondence and reports
- Support the preparation and submission of departmental reports and administrative documentation
- Assist audit teams with engagement administration and logistics
- Coordinate the preparation and issuance of engagement letters and related documentation
- Track engagement milestones, deliverables, and deadlines
- Act as the primary administrative contact for internal and external stakeholders
- Manage departmental courier services and documentation dispatch
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Secretarial Studies, Office and Information Management, Records Management, or a related field
- Professional secretarial or administrative certification is an added advantage
- Minimum of 2–3 years' relevant experience in a professional services firm, financial services environment, audit function, consulting firm, or corporate organization
- Experience supporting senior management and multiple stakeholders simultaneously
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Be a Ugandan citizen or eligible to work in Uganda
