City Medicals is seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance, and strengthen internal controls across its head office and branches/subsidiaries.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee financial operations across the head office and branches/subsidiaries in and outside Uganda
- Ensure compliance with statutory, financial and regulatory requirements
- Strengthen and maintain internal controls in an ISO-compliant (9001/14001/45001) environment
- Prepare, consolidate and present financial reports across multiple sites
- Perform reconciliations, budgeting, financial analysis and reporting
- Manage taxation, audit processes and internal control reviews
- Utilize accounting software and ERP systems to drive financial controls and reporting
- Support management with financial insights for decision-making across the growing healthcare group
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements
- Professional Qualification: CPA (U) or ACCA qualification and membership with ICPAU is mandatory
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field
- Experience: At least 5 years' professional experience, including 3 years in a supervisory role
- Technical Skills: Strong skills in financial reporting, reconciliation, budgeting, taxation, audit and internal controls
- Systems: Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
- Other: High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work across multi-site operations
