City Medicals is seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance, and strengthen internal controls across its head office and branches/subsidiaries.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Oversee financial operations across the head office and branches/subsidiaries inside and outside Uganda.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, taxation requirements and organizational policies.
Strengthen internal controls, audit processes and financial reporting systems.
Support financial reporting, reconciliation and budgeting across the multi-branch healthcare group.
Support ERP-driven financial controls and consolidated reporting (as implied by company systems and multi-site operations).

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements

Professional Qualification: CPA (U) or ACCA qualification and membership with ICPAU is mandatory
Education Level: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field
Experience: At least 5 years' professional experience, including 3 years in a supervisory role
Technical Skills: Strong skills in financial reporting, reconciliation, budgeting, taxation, audit and internal controls
Systems: Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
Other: Ability to work across multiple branches/subsidiaries in a highly regulated, ISO-compliant healthcare environment
