FinDev Gateway (CGAP) is advertising a Senior Global Programs Director position based in Kampala. The Senior Global Programs Director provides strategic leadership, oversight and support to Country Directors, ensuring high-quality, nationally scalable and financially sustainable program delivery across all countries of operation. As a key member of the Global Programs Team, the role strengthens program excellence, fosters cross-country learning, ensures strong operational performance and aligns country strategies with global vision and growth plans. This is a full-time role posted 18 August 2026 with a deadline of 31 August 2026. Salary is not disclosed.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership, oversight and support to Country Directors to ensure high-quality, nationally scalable and financially sustainable program delivery
• Strengthen program excellence and foster cross-country learning
• Ensure strong operational performance across all countries of operation
• Align country strategies with Spark's global vision and growth plans (as described in the advertisement)
• Contribute as a key member of the Global Programs Team to strategic and operational management

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements

• Seasoned leader with deep experience in international development, government relations, scaling programs, multi-country program oversight, team leadership and operational management
• Postgraduate degree level education indicated
• Minimum experience of 12 months (1 year) indicated; role requires extensive senior leadership experience
