Senior Product Management Associate

SafeBoda is hiring a Senior Product Management Associate based in Uganda on a Full-Time, Onsite basis with immediate start date. The role contributes to developing and enhancing Apps in the SafeBoda ecosystem, solving customer problems, improving overall app functionality and delivering exceptional product experiences in a fast-paced, venture-backed Series B company operating in Uganda and Kenya.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and enhancement of Apps in the SafeBoda ecosystem focusing on solving customer problems and improving overall app functionality.
• Work as an integral part of a dynamic team to deliver and enhance exceptional product experiences consistently.
• Actively understand and represent customer needs, ensuring Apps meet these needs and address key business challenges.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to incorporate customer feedback and insights, helping to refine and improve products.
• Promote a team environment that values inclusion and collaboration, where every team member feels engaged and valued.
• Participate in various stages of product development, including identifying new opportunities, assisting in planning and road mapping, prioritizing tasks, and contributing to feature design and user testing processes.

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• At least 1-2 years of experience in product or program management, with a focus on end-user facing products, B2C and B2B mobile applications.
• Familiarity with the software development life-cycle, including coding, testing and quality monitoring.
• Emotionally intelligent, humble and excited to work within a team with a diverse set of experiences, backgrounds and skills.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, juggle multiple tasks, think independently and problem-solve.
• Strong academic performance.
