Social Media Officer
Job Details
Resiliencia Uganda Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic, creative graduate to join our team as Social Media Officer on a 6-month probation contract with potential to extend to a permanent role. This is an entry-level / recent graduate position based in Kampala, Bugolobi with occasional field visits to rural project sites. The officer reports to the Head of Business, Solar Powered Irrigation Solutions (SPIS) and will drive online brand awareness and lead generation by executing a dynamic social media strategy focused on promoting Solar Powered Irrigation Solutions. Compensation is a fixed salary structured for entry-level, plus field facilitation allowance covering mobile data and field trip expenses, plus performance bonus/commission tied to conversions of tracked online sales leads. Work hours: 8 hours.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Design graphics using Canva and edit short-form videos using CapCut, Reels and TikTok
- Publish weekly content across Facebook, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, TikTok and Instagram
- Drive inbound inquiries through targeted digital campaigns
- Manage DMs and comments to convert interest into sales and log leads in Google Forms/CRM for follow-up tracking
- Respond promptly to customer questions and share technical tips with customers
- Conduct occasional field visits to capture real-life customer stories, photos and video clips for impact documentation
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Agribusiness or related field
- 1-3 years' experience (internships or personal portfolios welcome)
- Practical skills in Canva, short-form video editing (CapCut/Reels), and social media scheduling
- Fluent in English and Luganda with strong written response skills
- Willingness to learn solar irrigation technical specifications
- Willingness to travel periodically to rural project sites for content collection
