Job Details
Ramco Gas is seeking a Territory Sales Representative based in Entebbe to lead and oversee the development and growth of profitable new business, develop and maintain key customer relationships and direct business development activities. This is a full-time position (8 work hours) combining inside and outside sales, spending most time interacting face-to-face with prospective and existing customers and referral services. The role covers portfolio LPG products and solutions for home, industrial and bulk customers across the Central Region. Deadline is 31 August 2026. Salary is not disclosed.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Business Development Manager and Customer Service Centre Manager to recommend, develop and execute a sales plan to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets
- Achieve sales growth and profitability targets by maximizing face time with prospective customers and capitalizing on opportunities across LPG products and solutions
- Prospect, research and identify new business opportunities through business directories, social media platforms and client referrals; discover customer needs and secure new business
- Prepare and confidently present sales proposals, including pricing and product/service terms to key decision makers; influence, negotiate and close sales
- Act as customer's key contact and subject matter expert, building strong business relations and managing the sales cycle with continual follow-up
- Collaborate with Customer Service and Business Development Manager to ensure customer needs can and will be met
- Communicate regularly on sales progress within the sales funnel/cycle and prepare reports on key performance indicators
- Resolve issues that arise, involving subject matter experts and key decision makers as needed
- Promote and represent Ramco Gas positively within the community and industry
- Receive, process and organize shipments and deliveries; ensure low stock is restocked and sales floor is organized
- Perform end-of-day cleaning, address customer complaints, process payments using POS system, maintain in-depth product knowledge, reconcile funds, stock and banking and complete daily start-of-day and end-of-day reporting
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree level or equivalent
- Knowledge of relevant computer applications (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of principles and practices of sales, customer service and basic business principles
- Experience in sales and in making presentations with proven ability to achieve sales targets
- Key competencies: planning and strategizing, persuasiveness and adaptability, verbal, written communication and negotiation skills, resilience, tenacity and stress tolerance, goal-driven
- Minimum experience of 12 months (1 year)
