What is the U5 salary scale?

U5 is one grade in Uganda's public service salary structure, which runs from U1 (the most senior) down to U8 (support staff). It covers Officers / Technical Staff — roles requiring a diploma (National or higher diploma) — split into a professional/administrative ladder paid by yearly notch and, for scientific and medical posts, a flat rate that doesn't increase with years of service.
